About Book
The Shadows Find Their Tongue
There exists a world behind the silver screen of a smile—a realm of permanent moonlight, decaying manors, and the heavy scent of rain on cold stone.
VEILED is your descent into that world.
In this haunting collection, the cinematic melancholy of Lana Del Rey is reimagined through a Gothic lens, transforming modern melodies into visceral manuscripts found in the ruins of a forgotten heart. These poems exhume our most “indescribable” truths, dressing the weight of human emotion and ancestral shadows in mourning lace. From the ache of longing to the darkness of acts we dare not name, every verse strips away the mask to reveal the raw, elegant grit beneath.
The secrets of the soul are no longer hidden. The whispers in the dark have finally found their cadence.
Veiled is unveiled
Step behind the veil.
The darkness has been waiting for you.
About Author
Tayyaba Imdad Memon, known also as Zulaykha Imdad Memon, stands among Pakistan’s youngest wordsmiths. At sixteen summers, she unveiled her first-born novel, Asiri.
This gathering of verses called veiled holds the full weight of her heart: a voyage through the human soul and deeds that so often elude language, all wrought in her own haunting gothic hand. She finds solace in the act of writing, pulled always toward the shadowed, the lyrical, and the silent chambers of the human heart.
