About book
Laiba has never belonged to the place she calls home. Not to the house where footsteps mean danger. Not to the family where silence is survival. Not to the people who taught her that speaking, dreaming, and simply existing were crimes too big for a girl like her.
Aniya has always been a beautiful storm—bold, soft, and unshakeably aware of her worth. But when she’s forced into a marriage she never chose, even her fire begins to dim beneath the weight of silk, jhumkas, and expectations she can’t breathe under.
Momina has spent her whole life holding together a family already cracked beyond repair. When the final blow comes, even she can no longer pretend to be the glue that binds a breaking home.
Hania was born to get her hands dirty with charcoal, paint, and dreams too big for the walls that tried to contain her… but never her pride. Never her name. Never the art that saved her when nothing else did.
They never planned to meet.
But trauma stitched them together.
Pain made them sisters.
And freedom—real, messy, terrifying freedom—pushed them to run.
At eighteen, with nothing but a backpack, a stubborn heart, and a deep-purple bike she named Nyx, Laiba escapes into the restless, unforgiving streets of Lahore. She expects fear. She expects loneliness. She expects to disappear between the city’s neon and noise.
She doesn’t expect the girls—three strangers who become her lifeline.
She doesn’t expect the boys either—each one reshaping her story in ways she never imagined:
She doesn’t expect him- him perfect as she has always prayed for
Together the girls weave in and out of danger and safety, kindness and betrayal, comfort and heartbreak. The city becomes their teacher, their enemy, their shelter, their battlefield. Through shelters, side streets, late-night chai stalls, abandoned bookstores, broken families, and healing found in the most unexpected places. Laiba must face the truth she’s been running from.
What kind of girl will she choose to become?
The broken thing they created?
Or the brave thing she is finally learning to be?
The Streets of Lahore is a raw, tender, breathtaking coming-of-age story about girlhood, survival, found family, and the quiet revolution of choosing yourself. It is about the danger of staying, the courage of leaving, and the beauty of discovering that sometimes, to rebuild your life, you must first run toward the unknown.
